Born on November 28, 1984 to James Ronald Winstead and Betty Lou Knight. She has four older siblings; three sisters and a brother.

Moved from her hometown of Rocky Mount, North Carolina to Sandy, Utah (a small suburb of Salt Lake City) when she was five years old.

Attended Peruvian Park Elementary in Sandy, Utah.

Mary originally wanted to be a ballerina. She spent much of her childhood dancing and singing and was even enrolled in a Joffrey Ballet summer program.

Was once part of the International Children’s Choir.

Ava Gardner is a distant relative. She was the cousin of Mary’s grandfather.

Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill was the first album she purchased.

Enjoys watching movies, reading, antique and vintage shopping, and writing and recording music during her downtime.

Has two dogs–Ambrosius and Didymus (a Miniature Dachshund and Maltese). Their names are taken from Labyrinth–one of her favorite childhood films.

Married her longtime boyfriend, Riley Stearns in October 2010. The two met whilst on a cruise when Mary was 18.

Remains good friends with her Final Destination 3 co-star, Amanda Crew.

The Shining, Rosemary’s Baby, Alien, Sunset Boulevard and Fargo are among her favorite movies.
